    Hello,

I have got an .avi-file, with mp3-audio. It seems, there is an error in the interleaving, but I loaded the file into Divx-Fix, VirtualD mp3-freeze (scan hangs up) and Mpeg4Modifier. Every one of them gives an error, either CRC or just freezes (VDub...)

    GSpot tells me:
    "AVI v1.0
Interleave: 25 vid frames (1000 ms)
    Audio frames: Split across interleaves
    File Length Correct"

Playback in MPlyerClassic is fine though. Has anyone got suggestions?

    Thanks.

I have to extract the audio (for conversion) and tried VDub as well as GoldWave, VDub giving an error, Goldwave just extracting to the faulty place in the file, but about 25 min. of the audio is missing this way.
Also fed the file into SUPER, which can be used for audio conversion (ffmpeg) alone, results in an error as well.

Ok, so you want to convert it. To what?
If Video DVD, try divx2dvd (or the successor Convertx2dvd). The top "anythingtoDVD" at the mo. If that doesn't hack it - Get a better source file, perhaps?
Don't hold back on details - As much as possible will enable others to help as much (and accurate) as possible.

Well, right, the ConvertXtoDVD does a great job on all kinds even of corrupted files.

I include a screenshot of Gspot's and I'd like to convert this thing to DVD-compliant mpeg. Now since I ran the .avi through CCE (+AviSynth) I now would like to extract audio then convert to ac3.

    Heya guys!

Solved the problem, Sound Forge did the trick! Just loaded the .avi... and voilá!
(Although I tried Audition AND Goldwave...)

    Anyway, thanks!
