  1. Just wondering what people are using to backup dvd's to the pc and then burning them to dvd-r. I was using just dvdfab but for some reason my dvd's don't play in my standalone anymore. Then from what I've been reading, backing up the dvd first to the hdd gives you a better chance the movie will play.

If anyone has a good method of backing up dvd's and a good program to burn it... please let me know. I prefer to keep the movie uncompressed... so any programs to get the backup on to 2 dvd-r's, will be much appreciated.

    Thankyou

Try the "ALL GUIDES" section to your left and you will find:

You may also achieve what you want by using something like VOBBlanker to remove unwanted material, which may allow you to keep the entire movie uncompressed. You can also use DVDShrink in reauthor mode and the Start/End feature to split the main title at a point such that no compression is applied.
    If in doubt, Google it.
