Hi,
I am working with a digital video camera, and the frame size is 720x576. I have created my video file(premiere), and output it to an AVI(using the Canopus Corp Rapter Card Codec), to an avi. Using the Canopus codec, i get no loss of quality.(frame size is 720x576)
I want to create a SVCD, but I am confused about this. The SVCD frame size is 480x576, the AVI footage is 720x576. If I want to create my output avi in the right frame size for CCE MPEG encoder, it would seem that my video will be half the size(720 down to 480) in width, but the same height(576).
Would this not look stupid. I exported part of a video, and it did look stupid. All squished!
Am I going about this wrong ?
Peter

480x576 is the standard SVCD PAL resolution. Play the SVCD with a standalone dvd player and it will be displayed (stretched to) full screen.
Make sure you select the proper displayed aspect ratio.
