I'm having an intersting symptom and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions as to where to start troubleshooting.
Basically while I'm filiming I notice that there is this random flickering in the LCD viewfinder. It is also there when I go to play back the tape either on the camera or after I upload it into my computer. I don't think it's dirty heads because I've been told that dirty heads look more like a TV with a bad reception. This flickering looks a lot more like the way a VHS tape looks when it needs the tracking adjusted (that's the closest comparison I can make).
I'm wondering if this is an issue with my camera because it did the flickering with the next tape I put in (although I should mention that it was the same BRAND of tape - Maxell Mini DV DVM60SE). Should I try a different brand? I never had this problem before with Maxell tapes.
My camera (and don't laugh) is a JVC Model: GR-D90U
Any suggestion anyone has as to what this flickering is would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dustin

Are you sure you aren't in a special mode? Try to reset the camcorder or remove the battery overnight to reset modes. A hard reset would require removing the cmos battery.
