Hi all, I got a DVD that can't be read by windows explorer. It plays fine in standalone DVD players (I try several (philips, lg, etc) and it also play in windows media player (when you play dvd). But when I try to browse it's directory windows report 'no disc error'. I can't copy it as well using few commercial DVD copy program. I have 2 DVDs that have this behaviour. Is it because my DVD writer so that it can't read it (some kind of protection)? Thanks for your help!

Are these commercial discs, or have they come from a DVD Recorder ?

Have you tried DVD Fab Decrypter ?

    Have you tried ISOBuster ?

You didn't answer the question about the origins of the disc. It may shed some light on how to proceed.

Sorry no idea but it looks like a pressed DVD (no sign of 'capacity ring' like DVD recordable). But please explain both side of story. Thanks!

Thanks, DVDFab works like a charm! Must be a copy protection then!
