Hey Y'all. I used IMOVIE last night no problem and today it won't open. I have OS 10.3.9 and IMOVIE 4.0.1. There is no error message. It basically does nothing when I click on the IMOVIE Application or on an IMOVIE project. Couldn't find any details on the Apple web site. I tried the old reboot but no go. Any suggestions?

    dylan,
yes that is the plist file for imovie 4.x or later.
the one for version 5 would just say imovie.plist.

close iMovie, trash the file, and (re-)launch iMovie.
    Should be fine now.

Terry, thanks for the help. I tried cleaning the cache and repairing the permisions. Unfortunatley still not working. I am getting a error message though: "You cannot open the application IMOVIE because it may be dammaged or incomplete"

    How was it originally installed?
    From factory Cd/DVD or Download?

More than likely something has become corrupt.
Can you simply re-install it from the Apple System Discs?

It's been so long since I've installed it. Doesn't it come on the Mac OSX disc? I can't even remember. I tried putting the Mac OSX disc back in but as far as I can see I have to reinstall the whole disc. Besides the Max OSX disc, I've got the Power Mac G4 software restore disc and the power mac g4 software restore disc and Mac osx developer toos.

The Power Mac G4 software disc should have it.
Go and get Pacifist from versiontracker.com
and extract just the iMovie.pkg from the disc and
    reinstall it.

Terryj, Thank you soooo much for your help. Your knowledge of apple computers are tremendous. Just for the heck of it I tried downloading the IMOVIE 4.0.1 update from the apple website. I already had this update but I didn't think it could hurt anything. And what ya know it worked. Anyway, thank you again for all your help. Now I can get back to all this DV footage...Yay!
