Im using ffmpegx to convert some mpg and mp4 files to mpeg-ts so I cant put them on my Topfield PVR.

Anyway I have made some smaller files convert ok, up to about 600mb. But I have a couple of 1gb plus files, the convertor works ok until it gets to 100% but then comes up with failed, it leaves me with about 4 files instead of the usual 1 when it works.

Ive tried using quicktime to split the file into 2 smaller ones, but the conversion still fails.

    Anyone got any advice?

Anyone got any ideas on this???? Please!!!

  3. What error messages do you get in the process info dialogue?
You might have a time code issue. Try running the files through MPEGStreamClip and fix the time code breaks.

I get **ERROR: [mplex] Too many frame drops -exiting

Normally only happens right at the end of the process

  5. I have not used ffmpegXfor creating MPEG_TS files, but it really does sound like a time code break issue. Try running the file through the fix function in ffmpegX tools, or use MPEGStreamClip (fix time Code Breaks.)
