Hi, I've always used MPEG encoder but since yesterday when I try to open a video file to begin the conversion, then a message appears "no video data found": Wierd because the file is a video one and works perfectly in my pc. Any help?
    Thanks/Fabio

  2. Use AVICodec or Gspot to have a look at the video's properties. You might find the culprit.

MainConcept MPEG Encoder works fine for me.

What format is the video file?

    Does MC support it?

Look to the left <- see the Tools section. In this there is a codec and and audio codecs area. From these, download just the Xvid video codec, and just the LAM MP3 audio codec. Install these, and see how you go. DO NOT install a codec pack.

I will uninstall ffdshow if you suggest that it is better but following avicodec what is the video codec to install? V.nome codec XVid Mpeg4 or Mpeg layer 3? and where can I find the codec?
    thanks
