    How can i convert asx to avi or mpg. I have an asx video file that i need on a VCD so i was planning to convert with nero or TMPGenc but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

    As far as I know asx is not a video format, but just an xml file, that points to an asf file. So open the asx file and see to which asf file it points. You can use tempgenc to convert the asf file to mpeg.
