So I am one of the sorry saps who bought one of these obscure format video cameras(Should have remembered Betamax); the good news was I paid very little for it. While I like the camera, especially the size, the format compatibility is getting to me. I refuse to use the included Movieshaker(As it is just an extra step and I hate Sony software and computers) to capture the video to my computer, and have used Pinnacle Studio 9, which has limited format compatibility with MicroMV. Ufortunately, Studio 9 is a bit sluggish, and I would like to upgrade to something newer(Like Studio 10 or Ulead 10) but have discovered that both of these companies have dropped their support for MicroMV on their newer versions. I recently bought Nero 7 Ultra (For other reasons)with its included Nero Vision and thought it might support it but I was wrong. My question is does anybody know of a full featured video editing software that supports MicroMV(which is Mpeg-2 transport stream) still, or are their any good utilities that can help me deal with this dying format. I trhought Nero 7 was going to be the answer since it can read and convert so many formats(Including DVD Vobs directly into their program) but I was wrong.
Any ideas on what I can do to handle video editing.

this is one thing about sony that annoys me to no end...no matter what, they can't settle for the standard that every other company is using. they just have to make something proprietary so you are stuck with their stuff.

ULead Video Studio also supports MicroMV in the latest versions.
