THey prefer 320x240 xvid, divx so use any dvd to divx, xvid tool, like FairUse Wizard. You can select what you want from the dvd and convert.

I copy the VOB with DVD Decrypter, then load that into Virtualdubmod, resize down to 320x240 and save as divx.

I know they request 320x240 but I noticed it sucked. I measured the display size on my screen and uploaded one the same size....still sucked. I think I then read up and tried an xvid at 320x240....sucketh. I then uploaded a large 720x480 wmv with around 1200kbps and let youtube resize and do it's 'magic'. It came out much clearer. I am continuing to use this method but I'm guessing the resize had something to do with it since it was only 1200kbps.

youtube sucks. Not only do all the clips look like crap, there is no way to download the clips to your computer. Well, if you know what you're doing you can get them out of your Temporary Internet folder but trying to get them back to a viewable AVI is just about impossible.
Not sure why everyone wants to use another proprietory media like FLV. Realmedia, Quicktime and ASF are horrific enough.
