About 2 years ago I purchased an ATV-8710 only to return it immediately because of this problem:

I bought it direct from the manufacturer and asked them about this phenomenon when I returned it. They said they knew about and "it shows up with some sources", no mention about cables, sheilding or power supplies was made. Now truthfully, can the AVT-8710 owners swear they don't have this problem, or know how to overcome this problem? I'm finally at the place where I'm consider getting one of these modest TBCs and am reconsidering this unit. Thanks for reading.

If MV removal is not a requirement, then you might consider buying a DVD Recorder and using it as a TBC/Frame Synchronizer in passthru mode. The Toshiba units also provide a nice set of proc amp controls, and their TBC performance is very good.
