  1. hi all
i have all needed codecs installed but no xvid file can be loaded in TMPGenc.
i get the error about unsupported media file.
enviromental settings seems ok and i played also with them but no success.
on the other hand there is no problem with DivX files.
TMPGenc is version 2.524 in windowsXP.

    any help to this please?
    thank you.

  3. hi again
we have a strange situation here.
the only way for TMPGenc to load the XviD files is to put the AVI VFW Compatibility Reader at
the LOWEST possible priority in VFAPI Plug-in configuration.
this way is possible to load ANY avi files.

    but

then when i press start to start make the DVD or SVCD or any,the program is not working,if
the source file is Xvid i get an error message that the destination file cannot be created and if
the source file is DivX there is no message but the program hangs for ever.

anybody able to explain and give a solution for all theese???

Do you have the Panasonic DV codec installed ?

If so, I will bet that when you look at File Information you will see it as the nominated playbacl codec. However, because your Xvid is not resolution, the codec cracks the sads.

I had this happen to me recently and found the simplest solution was to use the vfw codec configuration for ffdshow (which I also had installed) to change evrrything back to xvid.

  5. no,no panasonic codec

nothing helped anyway, seems that there is no way to handle XviD files...

but in the end i tried an older version,TMPGenc 2.521
and with this everything work fine!!!

so,what the hell they did in this 2.524 and its all problems???
