    My audio is off and i'm guessing cause its the wrong bitrate, anyway to tell for sure it is and what would be the right bit rate

    I doubt it's the bitrate. Bitrate is just a quantative measure and does not affect the speed a twhich the audio is played or anything like that. That said, certain dvd players may have certain "preferences" as far as bitrate and or rate control method goes.
