I have tried VCDEasy (Freeware version) as a burner for my .mpg files to burn to VCD disks, and it almost woked. Is there another FREEWARE VCD Burning software that can be reccomended that does NOT have a problem with my CD-RW drive?
Also, Does anybody know of any FREEWARE AVI to MPEG-1 encoders? Please let me know.
Thanks.

Did you try the option of having VCDEasy create bin/cue files on your harddrive? (These are the image files for a VCD disc.) Then you open them in a burning program like Nero which already works with your burner. You open the cue file in the burning program and the burning program finds the bin file (which has the bulk of the data) and then burns the disc.
As for avi to mpeg one, I recall there are many free programs out there. BBmpeg as I recall. Check tools on this site. -
