    Hello.
Ok basically I can author fine, no sync issues problems nothin like tht etc... However this little problem is extremely annoying on the finished project.

I can skip forward through the chapters all the way to the end fine, but when I start going backwards through the chapters... I reach the last chapter on track2, the next (back)chapter will jump all the way back to the beginning of track1 (chapter1)... I dont want this, I want it to to go to the last chapter of track2 and to continue going back through the chapters. (keep in mind, I can go back through cd1, as long as I dont go over to track2... do you see what I meen?

Hope this makes sense on what I am trying to achieve... And I know I can join the input files to prevent this, but that doesnt solve anything.

I do not get this problem with multiple tracks with tmpgenc, anyone know what I haven't done?

    thanks alot

You are mixing chapters and titles, which makes for tricky navigation. Going forward is pretty easy. Put a chapter stop right at the end, skip to it, and the title finished and moves to the next in the chain. Notice, however, that it skips to the first chapter of the new title. It is exactly the same behaviour as going backwards - it skips to the beginning of the next title, but in the other direction.

Unless you can somehow program the previous chapter button using VM commands so that it goes backwards to the last chapter of the previous title, your best et is to put everyting in one big title, so you can use chapters the way there were designed to be used.

hi guys, yeah I did all the connections right.

I can't see a way around this, I've been using dvdlab for about 2 years now, always had this problem.

Your right though gunslinger, joining them prior to authoring would solve this problem, but I cant be assed sometimes to join the video, join the audio, merge cd1+cd2 subs.
I just wish TMPGENC dvd author supported subs, because you dont get this mutiple clip problem with tmpgenc.

Oh well, thanks for the suggestions all

TDA supports putting multiple assets into a single title, which DVD Lab Pro does not. At least, not in the same way. You can use the Movie Segment object to put multiple assets into a single title, however you can only have the chapter points DLP assigns - at the start of each segment, and you can't actually jump to a chapter point from a menu.

In DLP you can set GPRM's and edit the VM Commands to add "logic" for when to go to the last chapter of the PREV Title.

I haven't done it in a while, but you could set an available GPRM to a specific value. Then in the PRE-Commands of the Title, when the GPRM is the specific value, do the following:
    -reset the GPRM (if needed)
-jump to the last chapter of the current Title

    Regards,
    George
