On a menu I'm trying to make, I want to have colored dots appear on each side of my play and scene buttons. I have the masks all working, but I can't get the highlights to work the way I want. I'd like for the colored dots to disappear when the button isn't selected, and reappear when the button is selected with no color overlay, but I can't figure out how to make it happen. I've tried reading the help file, but it left me more confused than I was when I started.

The left is how i'd like it to look when selected, the right is how it looks when not selected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. you mean when you (Hit Play) you want to see the Buttons "Dots"? then when you move to (Chapters) you want "Chapters" to Show the Dots?

OR are you saying that there is Always a Button Selected that shows the "Dots"? this is normal Unless you set it to transparent.

the main menu has two buttons, play and scene. The words "play" and "scene" are made into the background image. I want the dots to show which button is highlighted. When the menu first comes up, I want the dots to appear around the word play. Then when I press the right button on my remote, I want the buttons to disappear from the word play and appear around the word scene. I can get them to show up, but they always have a color highlight over them that kind of ruins the look.

I hope that makes more sense.

    Thanks

  4. You set the (Inactive button color)?, I also know there might be Problems if there is Gray in the Image Used. This is from the Help file. I have have not had this problem before so I had to look it up.

I'm currently doing it like this.

I have an image of a black background with the two dots that I'm using as the thumbnail image.
I have a solid black image of the same size that I'm using as the thumbnail mask to make the image transparent on the menu.
I have an image that is just like the thumbnail image, but the dots are white on a black background instead of colored on a black background. I'm using this image as the highlight mask.
The "highlight mask mapping" is set to intensity. The "selected button colors" and "activated button colors" are both set to "color set 1". The "inactive button color" is set to transparent.
Everything currently looks good, and the dots are showing up as I want them to, but they're showing up as the color I have set as "color set 1", and I want them to show up as the two color dots in the image that I'm using as the thumbnail image with no color overlay.

I'd imagine I don't have the buttons made properly, but I'm stuck.
