    sorry if this is already posted, but is it possible to add chapters to divx video as i bought a lg 250gb recorder and its annoying when you play divx video and you cant forward.

    Yes, it has been asked before, many times. Yes, it is possible to add chapters and even menus and subtitles to Divx files. No, it is not possible to add them for your player.

    At present, it is possible, using something like DivXMediaBuilder, to build the .Divx container with all these features, however only Divx Ultra certified players can play these. I haven't seen any of these around, although I assume they are coming.

    ...and the above only applies to .divx - not to DivX AVI (.avi) - For that kind the answer is simply "No".
