Can someone please help me out? The machine was working fine yesterday. I brought my DVD player to my room and test t and all of a sudden, watching a regular DVD, the video is all distorted. Just like if you are watching a PAL movie. Even the Avayon sign that comes out (no disc in dvd player) is distorted with 2 splits screen. So weird. I'm using a regular Sony TV (prob multisystem), do you know what I am doing wrong??

TV-DVD player connection or setup is faulty. Go back to previous config to test again and try in your room again once you know that equipment is OK.

I played a asia backedup version DVD. I never performed that "multiregion" thing on the remote yet.

It was playing fine upstairs, and I went up there to put a VCD in it, and it all of a sudden do that scrolling distorted screen thing.

Your machine doesn't happen to have an N/P button on the unit or the remote does it?

check the manual troubleshooting section for reset procedure (to factory settings), call Avayon tech support...
either you pressed some options unknowingly or your player is damaged

It probably reset to PAL output.

You need to figure out how to get it to NTSC output.

The manual might tell you how to do it but you have to do it "blind" since you don't have a PAL TV unless you have a capture card on the computer than can be set to PAL then you can set it that way as it will show up on your computer monitor.

No, they didn't explain. I read the manual many times, all it said in the trouble shooting section was "reset the color system of the dvd player", but didn't say how.

I already went to the dvd player's output option to select ntsc, but didn't work.
