I hope I am in the correct forum, if not I'm sorry. I have a data disc, 5.1GB size. I tried both Roxio 8 and DVD Decrypter to burn it unto a Verbatim DVD-R DL 8.5GB. Both burns failed and of course i'm out of two DL blanks. It ripped succesfully as an ISO with 3.5 DVD Decrypter. But I can't burn it. Help please and thanks all.

So imageburn can write data? 5.1GB of data? Why is it different from Decrypter? Thanks again

  3. It's made by the same person as DVDDecrypter but better at writing DL.
BTW...have you updated the drives firmware? www.rpc1.org

Are you sure that your burner supports dual layer DVD-R? Some older burners only supports DVD+R dual layer and others (more old) does not support dual layer at all. Some models may add support of dual layer writing with a firmware upgrade.

  6. You already have wasted 2 DL blanks, I suggest you save the folders to hard drive and burn with software as data if it is video create VIDEO_TS folder first or just burn the VIDEO_TS folder.

  7. If your Computer Profile is current your Benq 1620 Pro is rated for burning DVD+RDL but not DVD-RDL.

Another option is to compress it more to fit a single layer disc. DVDShrink is the easy way to do it if it,s a video disc. But you said data disc in your original post and then you can't use video compression of course.
