How do I extract the mpeg file from an already burnt SVCD.
Vcdgear seems to only allow MPEG1 extraction.
Is there a program that I can use to get the MPEG2 from the disc?

what happens when you copy the DAT file from the CD to the HDD? Then just rename it to .MPG.

Maybe this will help, and maybe not:

There's no .dat file on an SVCD, the plain mpg file sits on /mpeg2 folder. Just copy it!

u can use vcdgear to get the svcd off the cd.
But why?
Just copy to your hard drive.
If it does not play, restream with merge and cut-
