    Hi, I backed-up a lot a region 2 dvd's in the past. i used dvdidle pro and dvdshrink. My JVC dvd player can read them but my new sony home theater doesn't. it always written cannot read dvd region restricted.

    please help me

    Region 2 is a mixed bag. UK/European region 2 material will be PAL, Japanese region 2 material will be NTSC. Chances are your Sony will not play PAL material.
