    what program to use to strip/remove the audio from a mpeg/mpg video file.

    Any program that can demux (Separate the audio from the video), like TMPGEnc Encoder, or you could use the freeware VirtualDub Mod and either demux it or save it out as as WAV audio.

    TMPGENC 'MPEG TOOLS' OWNZ!

    I can join multiple mpeg files 85% of the time with mpeg tools, if my source mpeg has vbr or ac3 audio then I create video only mpegs first & then join.

    (goldwave etc to join audio streams, back to mpeg tools to demuxing/multiplexing files)
