  1. I'm trying to find the best software to burn organized MP3s onto a DVD for play in my car. (Yes, I have a DVD player that plays MP3 encoded DVDs) I have used Nero EE in the past with success, but IT HAS NO ABILITY TO RE-ORGANIZE THE ORDER OF FOLDERS OR TRACKS. When adding a folder, it automatically sorts alphabetically. There is no way to re-order anything. Folders or tracks. I was forced to rename ALL the folders to start with a number. (ie. 1Band Name, 2Band Name) So I could get them in an order I wanted. THEN I have to do the same thing for all the tracks to be in track order instead of alphabetically. Took HOURS, but worked perfectly in the end. I also tried MusicMatch, but it doesn't even have the ability to sort into folders. HELP!

Im using WinAmp with Playlist Unpacker Plug in V 1.6. It copies your MP3s, in the playlist order, to a directory, optionally appending 'PL0001, PL0002,...' to keep them in order. I use it for MP3 CDs, but bet it works for DVD too.

But what do you use to burn?

If you use WinAMP, how do you burn organized and seperate folders? I can save a playlist and name it whatever i want.... but when I add a playlist to the burn section, it just adds all the songs. And it forces an "Audio Disc" not "MP3 disc". Can't find where to change that. Plus it doesn't see a DVD as a DVD, just treats it as CDR.

If you use another burning ROM, I tried the Unpacker and it copies the playlist to any dir... but still alphabetically. And not in a "playlist format" (ie. m3u) I don't see how you name them PL0001 etc using this plug-in.

Tried saving a playlist the normal way via WinAMP, then adding that in Nero, but it just adds the tracks alphabetically too. I can then create a new folder in there and put them in, but all the tracks are still alphabetically within the folder. THEY ARE SORTED BY FILENAME. Nero has no option to sort by track number.

http://winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=145249 is the location of the plug in. From WinAmp this plug in will copy the files (as MP3 files) to a directory of your choice. Then just use any DVD burning program to burn the contents of that directory as a data DVD. You can set the plugin to add the 'PL001; PL002;...' from the Extended options of the 'Unpack Playlist to...' dialog.
