    These are the video codecs installed on my system. Am I missing some codecs or is this it? What else should I install for 100% playback compatibility?

  2. for honest to god 100% compatability, your gonna need [literally] a few thousand more.......if your not doing any video encoding and only watching video though, i believe you got pretty much all the common ones (though ya may consider updating your divx codec, as the newer ones provide slightly better playback quality)

    VfW is no good for AVC anyway. But yeah, ffdshow (ff_vfw.dll) is still usefull.
