T-Com offers VDSL (52 MBit/s) currently in 10 German cities in a test phase. For 2007 they plan to cover 50 German cities with VDSL (invest: 3 billion €).

For VDSL they are building outdoor DSLAMs (DSL access multiplexer) close to the subscriber locations.

For reducing video server load, multicast DSLAMs are used.

T-Com will offer a TV settop box, that receives the IPTV signals via WLAN directly from a WLAN DSL router.
