  1. I recently bought an HDTV and have a Dazzle Creator II video in/out board. Is there a way to use these to be able to work on my tv instead of my monitor?

  2. Sounds like a cool idea since a monitor is basically a small HDTV anyway, you may get ok results from it. Try it,cant harm anything.

  3. an s-video cable will work better than a composite (yellow) cable if you use your video out, makes the letters more readable.

  4. check the back of the televison. i have seen some hdtvs that actually accept vga right from a regular video card (that use same cord as a monitor, i forget the real name of the spec). if yours has this, you would get way better results. even an s-video would make it hard to read if you are using smaller fonts. if it has vga, read the manual to check the avaible resolutions and change to the one you want to use before you hook it up to the televison as it may damage it using an unsupported resolution or refresh rate.

  5. I guess what I really need to know is how do I send the output through the video I/O card rather than, or allong with the normal video output card?
The software that came with my new card does not have a setting for this. It only has an interface for capturing video/audio, editting it and then outputting that...It also has the ability to mpeg2 encode.
Is there freeware or shareware that I need or maybe a setting in windows that will allow for this control?
    I am so confused....

    Thanks,
    Scott

look up "scan converter" in google. I have heard of them but have never tried them. I recently bought a hdtv but I was lucky and it had a svga connection on it.
