I have a 2- hour video that when I load it into MPEGVCR the program splits the video into 4 segments.

When I load those 4 segments in Ulead DVD Workshop 2 the finished authored DVD looks great other than you can see the seams where those 4 segments are joined with a split second delay in the finished video.

Is there a way to adjust the options on MPEGVCR to load the entire movie rather than split it into segments?

    You responses are greatly appreciated!

I use Womble all time and have never seen this.
Post a question about this on the Womble Support E-mail.
    They have great support.

I used to have that happen a lot with Womble (Mpeg Video Wizard). I switched to TMPGEnc Mpeg Author and it didn't happen anymore. If I need to add effects or do something else Wombles does that I can't do in TMPGEnc, I load the files in TMPG, create one mpeg file and then load that in Womble.

Nobody seriously recommends using Womble's products for adding effects. MPEGVCR is a terrific video editor, but yes, it sometimes behaves less than optimally if you want to add effects.

Jesse217 - Are you running Windows 98 by any chance? I've used MPEGVCR (well, they used to call it MPEG2VCR) for over 5 years now and I have NEVER had what you describe happen to me. Windows 98 uses the old FAT file system and there are definite size limits to what it supports, which might be why your file is being split. If this is your problem, your only solution is to use Windows 2000 or (better) Windows XP. Sorry.

I didn't recommend it. I said I use it. And seriously, it works fine for simple fades and dissolves. When it's my turn to remake King Kong I'll probably use something else for the more complicated effects.
