  1. I'm having a big problem with AC3 Machine. I get a DOS screen that flashes up and nothing happens when I'm trying to deal with the audio.

On the video side, what are the specific things we're supposed to be "checking off" on TMPGenc? When I load the script, it doesn't seem to do anything that I couldn't do with TMPGenc myself.

I just created a new guide using nothing but TMPGEnc Plus 2.5x

Well actually you still have to use DGMPGDec/DGIndex along with DGPulldown but you do not have to use AviSynth. I still prefer the AviSynth method but I wrote the new guide for those that do not want to learn how to use AviSynth.

Here is a link to the new guide ---> CLICK HERE

The benefit of using DGPulldown is that the new NTSC video will have the same running time as the original PAL video so there is no need to adjust the audio.

  3. John,

I need to adjust the audio. That's the entire reason I want to do it. I can't stand the speed-up.

  4. digitalfreaknyc,

If you have a question to ask, please create your own thread as opposed to posting in a two year old one. It means you are more likely to get an answer, and it makes searching easier for those with the same issue in the future.

    Many thanks!

If you mean avisynth script how about "faster, better"? Can you use different resizing methods with TMPG (only blury bilinear available)? There are routines in avisynth scripting to disasemble the frame in parts (moving, still, low ligth, flat surfaces and so on) and to apply different filtering to different parts of the same frame. Can you do it with TMPG?
I don't think so. If you want to play with some advanced stuff and still have a (more or less) understandable GUI try this:

  6. I actually fixed the problem.

For those who have been having problems with ac3machine...make sure all the programs (besweet, ac3machine) are all in the same file on your pc.

Also, as Fulci mentioned in another thread, make sure you use the BETA version of Besweet because you can get pops otherwise.
