Sometimes when I try to convert an avi file to DVd using TMPGenc I receive an error that avi file can not open or unsupported. When I load the same file in Gspot to find out if I have a codec missing I find out that all codecs of that avi file are there. When I try to convert the same file with ConvertXtoDVD i receive an error that there is an error while decoding stream #0.0
Can someone help to decode these kinds of files, pls?

You will need to post the GSPOT logs for the individual files. I suspect that you are encountering an assortment of file types, and no one program will work for each and every file type. They can be NTSC or PAL, (avi, dv-avi, mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg4, wmv, quicktime, xvid, divx), and the audio for each one of those types can be one of a few different formats. Each and everyone of those differences can cause difficulties in determining which software to use for decoding or encoding to dvd.

The things you need to be concerned with to convert the above file are:
    video codec code DIVX
    framerate 25FPS
    audio is MP3 44100 hz

To convert this to dvd you will need to encode this to mpeg2, 29.97fps, and audio of 48hz. That is that standard. I don't work with DIVX files, so I won't be of much help there.

Why don't you just copy the DVD instead of doing DVD to AVI to DVD again?

I think Malta is PAL country, so 25 fps is fine...

I found a way to encode them.
I used Avic.exe and changed the files from DivX to Div3 and then I had no trouble in converting them to DVD.
