I have a slideshow on cd that play automatically with a self contained program and want to convert it to a dvd stand alone player. I think I need a computer card to output to TV and another card to input this output to another computer so I can convert/burn it to dvd.
I run windows 2000 on 2 computers and 98se on another. Can this be done? Any info on cards to use, software and other approaches would be appreciated. There is no copy protection involved.
    Thanks In advance.

Are all the images contained in the executable, or are they o the disc with a player program ?

If you can get the images themselves, you can just author a slideshow using them. Much simpler.

If they are within a stand alone program, you might be able to use a resource editor to extract them, and again, author a new slideshow.

Otherwise, most geforce or radeon based gfx cards or later have TV out as standard using an s-video connection

The disk is a photodex slideshow and some of the pictures are stored as jpg however there are other in jpg_0 format which the program uses to display and can't be copied. The critical ones are in this format. I even tried downloading the photodex create program hoping to be able to access these jpg_0 however it won't access the cd. I can't even copy them to a hard drive. So I figure the only way was to a tv and back or computer to computer to get the complete slide show on a hard drive to convert it to dvd.
