  1. Hello I have a question for all the experts on here. I have a couple of vhs tapes that I am trying to put on dvd and the tapes all play the same on three different vcr's I have and on certain scenes it has color bars that go across the screen like yellow pink or blue depending the color of the background. Also on skin tones the color gets pinkinsh sometimes. Its not macrovision since I taped them from tv in SP mode. I use both a datavideo and avt and they wont get rid of it. I use a panasonic dmr e55 and it gets rid of about 80 percent of it but I am wanting to use my tbc's instead. Doesn anyone know of something I can do to get rid of this problem? Thanks for any help

Do your tapes look like this?

If multiple VCRs playback these tapes the same way, then the errors may have been embedded during record.

  3. Yes that is the problem I am having. I am trying and on every vcr I have it does it and I have four to use one SVHS and the rest just stardard vhs. I have used Svideo and also composite. This is my normal chain. VCR-AVT 8710-Signvideoprocamp- Pioneer dvd recorder. Then my tv set. I also use the Datavideo and it does the same thing it will not get rid of the color lines. Also I can go straight from vcr to tv on any of them and it does that and also it does it on my other tv sets as well. Only if I pass it through my Panasonic DMR e55 will it 90 percent or so go away and the skin tone does not bleed pink here and there. Well thanks for the reply and hope to hear some more.
