    Hi can anyone help?
I'm converting AVI's to DVD using WINAVI and 50% of the time the outputted files are having distortion every other second in the picture. The AVI's are problem free when played through Windows media player and Nero showtime. I've tried outputting in Auto/NTSC/PAL frame rates. AUTO causes distortion and NTSC/PAL make it jitter like the film is robotic. It's the same when it is burnt to DVD and played on TV. I've also tried Nerovision 4 and the same happens. No distortion but robotic frames. Do i need to reconvert the AVI's????
    Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it shouldn't cause any problem if you convert to PAL. Try ConvertXtoDVD!

Does the converted DVD look okey on your computer using a software dvd player?

  6. I also have the same problem but this is with 7.5. Never had it happen to me with 7.1 at all. I did uninstall 7.1 before installing 7.5. Seems like it is doing this with all the avis and even mkv to dvd.
I also tried the latest convertxtodvd but it was very slow compared to winavi.

Hmm wish I could find a screenshot program to show what the picture distortion looks like under the preview.

    Anybody experiancing this on 7.5?

Well I figured out why the video is distorted. It looks like 7.5 does not like the adjustments made under aspect ratio for picture width/height. This sucks because I use this to make it in widescreen view so the hardcoded subtitles are not cut off. Will it matter if I change the source aspect ratio to 16:3 to show the widescreen bars?
