Windows Media Player 11, is set to be made public on Wednesday, however, it has found its way into the hands of internet users before its public release. Flexbeta has some early screenshots of the next Media Player for Windows users."

Wonder if the official version will be available as 64bit? The leaked version won't even install under x64 here.

And once again, I won't use it unless I'm required to. There are many players that are light years better than WMP.

Just like they realized 9 & 8 & 7 was. Making a bigger POS doesn't make it better. One of the main features I look for in a media player is "small foot print, lean on resources".
I rarely need anything besides WinAmp 2

VLC Media Player - uses its own codecs, much better than WMP can ever be.

Media Player Classic - another freeware alternative.

The only use I can ever think of for WMP is media that has DRM, which requires a licence download to play the media.

The real solution to that problem is simply not to watch or listen to the file.
