Hi. Im looking for a good program for making photos and video slide show. I have tried Nero 7 and Easy CD Creator. I will like to test pane and zoom options allso. If there is another one that looks more professional and easy to use let me know.

Photodex Proshow is the best...or MemoriesOnTV.

  3. This free https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=DVD_slideshow_GUI is pretty good, except it does not loop the background music.

I used Proshow, I am now using Ulead VideoStudio 10. It does a much better job. Sound control is excellent, not iffy as in Proshow. Proshow's slide manipulation is better, but that's it.
Adding video with VS 10 is a snap and is much more powerful than Proshow.

ProShow is certainly easy to work with. Haven't tried VS 10, so I can't say.

I did complete a slideshow today for a customer. Due to time constraints, I built it in ProShow, saved the mpg WITHOUT audio, imported the video into MSP8 and joined it with the soundtrack that I'd encoded to AC3 in Scenarist. Created 4 video files, imported into TDA and authored.

I've not been impressed with the audio quality in ProShow, and have taken to re-encoding the sound to AC3 for awhile. The video quality, on the other hand, is excellent; the motion effects and transitions - as well as the ease of use - make it a usefull tool.

Having started with VS4 several years ago, then to MSP6.5 later on: ProShow is far easier, with better results - just the audio encoder suck(s or ed???).

Crashes are less common on the newer versions.

I have seen a slide show made in DVD Santa, the audio is good and in sync with the pictures, audio finishes when the last slide is shown. It also pans and zooms automaticly at randon.
