  1. Help! I've been burning back-up copies of my DVDs for years, with DVD Shrink 3.1 to rip, and Clone DVD to burn. I read on their site there ore no more updates, and now I'm having problems when trying to rip newer movies...I tried Madigascar and The Brothers Grimm.....won't rip. Is there something else out there? I've never tried DVD decriptor. Is it the one to try???

You should have done a forum search and you would have found the answer.

But.... Download the latest version of DVD Fab Decrypter and rip the DVD to your hard drive. Then point Shrink to that file and that may be all you need. Some DVDs may require more steps than that, but try that first. If no luck, do a forum search for that DVD title and you should find some posts that tell you the required method. DVD Shrink is no longer updated, but still does a good job. It just needs some extra help with some newer DVDs.

And you can edit your post title or your post instead of making a new one to correct an error.

    And welcome to our forums.

Sometimes: If Shrink is still having a hard time (crashes, etc.); you can run FixVTS on the problematic folder and get Shrink to work.
