Does anyone know what this error message means?
Is there anything I can do besides a reinstall that will correct it?
    Is it my hardware?

seems the bug is caused when you put a chapter marker in!
The ADOBE SOFTWARE ENCORE 2.0 puts automatic chapter breaks into your show. then when you
put chapter marks in ,,,ADOBE fails to check how NEAR they are to the "AUTOCHAPTERS"

jus check all chapters for illegal nearness and recompile!
