  1. I captured a 20 minute Mpeg1 clip using 2300 Kb/sec
    bitrate (ie. XVCD fomat)

When I author using VCDEasy, it tells me that it is 20 minutes.

When I create the image in VCDEasy and burn it, I play it
in my DVD player and it shows that the clip is 33 minutes
    long.

    Is this normal?

Is there a way to correct this in VCDEasy or TSCV?

  2. Correction to my previous post

    I captured a 20 minute Mpeg1 clip using 2300 Kb/sec
    bitrate (ie. XVCD fomat)

In TSCV, when I create the bin file of the 20 minute mpeg1 XVCD clip, it says that the VCD 2.0 image is 33 minutes long. I haven't created any chapters or menus

Is there a way to correct this in VCDEasy or TSCV?

  3. Funny thing is that when I play the original captured 20 minute XVCD mpeg1 clip in Windows Media Player or PowerDVD, it shows the clip as 20 minutes

It's only when I use VCDEasy or TSCV to create the bin/cue
file that the length shown for the clip becomes 33 minutes

  4. You have made an XVCD = non-standard/compliant VCD. They may not play properly (and incorrect playlength is common).

Your DVD player is looking at the length of the disc as IF it were a compliant disc. It doesn't know that you've tricked it with a non-standard stream. I don't think that there is anything you can really do about this.

As long as your disc PLAYs properly, I think you should be happy.

  5. Hi, I have a mpeg of lord of the rings which (after reading this post) must be xvcd because i made it 87 minutes but when i try to burn it nero and vcd easy think it is 98 minutes. I can't burn 98min to a cd but i can burn 87, how do i convert this non-coompliant mpeg to a compliant one.

    Thank you
