  1. Hi i am trying to recompress a quicktime mov file to flv but it doesn't seem to be workin.

  2. Please post the process output (blue "i" icon in the Progress window).

  3. Here it is....

FFmpeg version CVS, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard
    Sat May 13 16:30:15 PDT 2006
Mac OSX universal build for ffmpegX
    libavutil version: 49.0.0
    libavcodec version: 51.9.0
    libavformat version: 50.4.0
    Seems that stream 1 comes from film source: 4285.71 (30000/7) -> 29.97 (30000/1001)
    Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from '/Users/el/Desktop/Greeneye.mov':
    Duration: 00:02:50.6, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 20658 kb/s
    Stream #0.0(eng): Audio: pcm_s16be, 44100 Hz, stereo, 1411 kb/s
    Stream #0.1(eng), 29.97 fps(r): Video: mjpeg, yuvj444p, 320x240
Codec type mismatch for mapping #0.0 -> #0.0

  4. Apparently it is due to Audio being listed before Video (inverted mapping), in this case enable "Invert mapping" in the audio tab.

    Using Mac Tiger

Just tried to convert a .mov to flv. Just took one second to convert. Did it do anything? When I click on the "converted" file - Flash 7 player opens and plays a how to video from Avid Express - not the video I "converted"?!

Number of stream maps must match number of output streams

  7. i had the same problem as you with the stream maps, i had sent a file to major to look at and see if he could figure anything out, and since have been waiting patiently.. i know he can be a busy man.

  8. actually for me at least, the inverting audio thing major told me worked but it gave me a file that is hardly useable.. as the audio is way out of sync with the choppy video

  9. Here are many flv encoders.

you can google "flv encoder -riva".
