  1. Hi! I have just installed the latest ver (2.3) of VOB2MPG. Before that I ran Windows Update to make sure .net is up to date. My problem is that when I press Start (after selecting in/out directories) nothing happens. In the task manager I see that ffmpeg.exe runs at 100%, but after 1 hour I can can still not find any trace of anything happening. I run WinXP Home SP2.
Any help is appreciated as Ii understand this tool is very good, once it is possible to run it... The vob files comes from Ulead VideoStudio 7.
    Any help out there?

My log file... (The strange looking stuff in the path names comes from swedish letters, but I have also tried with non swedish folder names to make sure that is not the problem)

I haven't ran into that problem with VOB2MPG, but let's try this. I can move you to the SVCD2DVD forum and ChrissyBoy should be able to help you as the program comes from the people he represents and he is very responsive with problems. Moving you.

Do you get the same issue on any other VIDEO_TS folders? (i.e do you think it is an issue with the VOBs or the tool)

  4. I believe it is the tool. I have tried with two versions of vobs (though they are from the same movie, but I guess that is not relevant). The first vobset i tried was ripped from the ready-to-play-in-a-standard-dvd-player-disc. The second are vobs that I have saved from when I burnt that DVD.

  5. I would suggest trying VOBs from a different disc and get back to us with the result.

  6. Hi! I finally managed to find time to try this. It seems there is an issue with my homemade DVDs (edited, authored and burnt myself) after all. When I tried with original-DVDs, the output from them is one mpeg with the complete movie and everything in order. Just like I want them. Then I rip DVDs that I have done myself. The mpeg output files are either not complete or the different sections/chapters are out of order.

Maybe I've misunderstod how it works, but the only way I could get something at all from my own DVD was when I pointed vob2mpg directly to the DVD. When I first ripped it to ther HD and used that vob set, the result was - nothing.

I said I could get something from the DVD. That's where I am puzzled. I do get a mpeg file, but it only contains parts of the full DVD (in one case and the full movies but chapters in mixed order on the other one). The DVD contains 4 movies. In the mpeg output file I get contains the end of one of them and the beginning of another. In total 7 minutes out of about 1h. The DVD has 4 vobs.

Thanks fot you time and help!
