Hello everyone,
I have this WW2 documentary (mini series) which doesn't exist on DVD or VHS for purchase. Someone taped it from TV, then transfered it to DVDs. I have that DVD set. There appear to be no signs of any editing or filtering, so I'd like to try to improve the video. I will be using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0
Is there any guide or general recommendations on how to improve such video? There's obviously the usual VHS tape noise and other artefacts, old film dust/dirt/scratches/shakes/brightness flicker, etc.
What filters and in what order would I normally apply? Since 95% of the footage is b&w but there's some slight coloration on some episodes on the edges (probably from the tape), does it make sense converting the material to b&w first?
Thank you
