CDEXTRA MODE BURNING NOT SUPPORTED ON THE PIONEER DVR-109

I recently asked the following question to Pioneer: I have the Pioneer DVR-109 DVD Writer with Firmware 1.57, When Burning a CDEXTRA Mode CD it always fails, it burns the audio lead-in, then data, then audio lead-out, & always fails on burning the data lead-in. Is it possible to burn a mixedmode or cdextra cd with this writer???? thanks

Pioneer told me that this writer does not support CDEXTRA Burning, Strange because I used to have the Pioneer DVR-106 which DID support it!.

I tried the Pioneer DVR-109 in Nero under the SIMULATION MODE as a CDEXTRA Disc & it Wrote it Succesfully! (BIZARRE!!!!), but failed when it acctually burn't it.

It seems like its 1 step forward & two steps back, I was considering buying the new Pioneer DVR-110 but I am now NOT SURE as this writer will probably NOT do something that the Pioneer DVR-109 did !

Does anyone know of a DVD writer that write DUAL LAYER & Also Write CD CDEXTRA ? ? ? ? ? ? ?.

I have asked Pioneer to consider CDEXTRA in the next FIRMWARE Patch for the Pioneer DVR-109, but I won't hold my breath.

Anyone know a way to Patch the Firmware to allow burning of CDEXTRA with this drive?

Thanks
