I need help, I needed to back up my copies of twister and joyride and so i used dvd fab and then dvd lab but when i burnt it on to my new dvd there is no sound. I did it normal just like i do any other movie, so what is wrong?

Joyride will play but only for 7 mins
twister will play fine but no sound. in dvd lab when the movie shows in the timeline box, it shows all red 0's instead of the times, so does that have something to do with it?

both discs are very scratched i was wondering if that had something to do with it?

    please help . thanks

Well twister has a dts soundtrack on it. Did you mistakenly select only the dts soundtrack? If so you'd only be able to hear it through a dts receiver (or software support of dts on a computer). As for the other movie I couldn't say without more info.

AND - you should wait at least a few days before bumping your own thread
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

if you want help then tell us what audio track you used?
or did you just added the vobs with no demultiplexing? standard dvd-lab doesn't support dts and it is probably the default audio track in the vob files.

I don't understand why you needed DVD Lab to make a backup.

Start simple. Try to run the DVD Fab output through FixVTS, then try to load it into DVD Shrink. This will tell you if you have somethig to work with, or just a pile of crap. If you don't need menus, just use Shrink in reauthor mode to output a disc for burning.

And yes, you can post as often as you like in your own thread. However if people percieve you to be bossy or needy without showing any signs of having done any research yourself, they will just choose to ignore you and you won't get any answers at all. You are doing a backup of a movie. It is not brain surgery, and it is not life and death. Use the time you are waiting for an answer to search the forums and read other posts. Chances are you will find the answer. Attitude goes a long way.
