dvd/mpeg 2 to mp4 using nero recode 2

i tried using nero recode 2 to convert my videos to mp4, however i am not able to convert dvd (vob) files or mpeg 2 files to mp4, the program only shows avi files that can be converted. do i need to install a mpeg 2 codec or is something wrong somewhere...pls help.

Try loading the files using Nero Vision Express and use the export function to output to a Nero Digital file
