I have a mpg file that consists of an MPEG-2 Video and a Dolby Digital Audio. The video content of this mpg file happens to be boring, while the audio content is a nice piece of music. Is it possible to extract only the Dolby Digital Audio from the mpg file and save it as either a Dolby Digital Audio file or a new mpg file consisting of only audio? I would like to do this without generation loss. How can I do this?
Many thanks in advance.

Are you SURE it's in DD? If you got MPG, the audio is likely MP3 or MP2. In that case, just demux the stream.

VirtualDubMod will do this for you. Simply open the file and chose demux under Stream list
