I want to divide my AVI in sections so I can easily go from one spot to another (that I have selected) like scenes in DVD, what program can I use?
    Thanks

That's easier by using menus, but with AVIs they are not common. The newest versions of Divx have menu capabilities, though few standalone players can use them.

If you just wanted to split the AVI videos up, a program like VirtualDub can do that. But you would have to make each a separate video and select them by title or use a thumbnail of each in the final video. This would be for computer viewing, though.

And you didn't say what kind of AVI, there are many video and audio formats under the container title of 'AVI'.

If they don't have to be AVI, you could use MPEG format and make a DVD video that would have chapters and menus to select any of the clips you want. And this would also play on a regular DVD player.

And just to clarify that if you are making a dvd you just leave the video intact and insert your chapter markers and you wouldn't have to chop up the video.
