Doom9 IMO is for pirating DVD, does not have a lot about video editing or capturing. It is a good site.Originally Posted by Mozgus
MY only question is WAY come back? 4 different accounts, Doom9 is better, people on this forum are kids from high school, and you are sitting there posting threads to TRY to get people to help a dumbass money like yourself? WAY? This forum can do without losers like yourself, but after 4 accounts can you do without this forum??? I don’t think so.Originally Posted by Mozgus
So you have proved my point, which is you are an *******. And you need to try working on a lawnmower, driving a garbage truck, cleaning toilets, something else that more fit you. BIG LOSER! Hahaha
This is my last posting on you; I have a real job I have to get back to.

I had that audio hiss on the Leadtek card also. I hated that, so I once again suck with my 3DFX.
So funny. Right when I talk about no one making any helpful posts, one comes right along. I should start flaming everyone right from the start. Seems to work faster.
But thanks. That's one mystery solved.

id have to agree that the card is useless only due to shitty software support.
the box says its 2k compat yet the packaged software only works with xp...
tried about 18 different capture programs, none of which really work well or as desired.
only one i havent tried is winamp which i will do.
spent close to $300 trying to get this tv card going. -

And I use graphedit or this plugin to capture to huffyuv. Most likely you don't even know there's a recording tab under the options...
I was just trying to help someone who tried to do something I knew how to do, but I think I was wrong to even post in this thread... -
Lol, it doesn't even work in MCE, which it was designed for. Media Center says no tuner found. Hilarious.

Now that you tried MCE and say it doesn't work with that, I'm sure you don't know a shit about computers. Go to hexus.net forums... many people using the card without problems.
I give up. If it doesn't work for you, fine. Return the card and keep using you old 3DFX card. -

There alot of helpful people on these boards and you would be doing yourself a favor by listening to what's being said. As far as the net having to do with real life, you trying to tell me my G/F I met online I would have found after spending years and years behind the turnables, in bars, nightclubs, chruch or dozens of supposely good places to meet people tha are single?
Here's where it links with real life. In person you're prolly a know it all a-hole anyway and would try too tell me shh I already know or take a quote from some other nerd and call that gospel.
If you knew everything why post here, obviously you know the answer already you would have saved the boards alot of grief.Project Digital: Eliminate All Physical Media is finally underway! -
Another forum adventure where everyone blurts out false information to up their post count and internet ego, while I had to go and fix the situation myself. The usual.
Here's the info for anyone being directed to this thread, or any existing member who isn't a snobby little nerd:
Card is worthless on XP. Card is usable on MCE, but it won't get detected in MCE until you run this:
http://blogs.msdn.com/peterrosser/archive/2005/10/20/482974.aspx
And you might need the faultrep.dll file. Google for it. After this, MCE will recognise it finally. You will still need an MPEG2 decoder plugin most likely. I find that nvidia's PureVideo tool works great.
The card is still pathetic for any source which needs to be truely live, with no lag, like a game console. Every single app you use, no matter what settings you try, will always perform poorly under "LIVE" mode, meaning bypassing the MPEG2 encoder. Hope this helps the people who deserve it. -
Mozgus: When I had MCE and didn't have to install anything to make it work. Many people can confirm that if the card doesn't encode to MPEG-2, there's no delay (on video. There has always been a delay with audio).
Go and ask someone at Hexus.net forums... many MCE users there.
It's not the card's fault that you can't configure a program as you should.
If the card doesn't work for you, send it back to the retailer and keep using your old card... simple as that.

Complaining and insulting the person that helped you isn't the way to ask for help. And you never fixed the situation, you just gave up. -

Then could you please explain to me why I can play without delay and without problems and you can't, using exactly the same card???
I'm just trying to help you. I know the card has problems with many programs, but that tv plug-in does work, and I just wanted to share some information with you. If you don't like it... well; I don't care. It's your card and your money.
By the way, if you know so much about video, you could have recognised all the pros in here and wouldn't have said that this forum was just full of little kids.
SORRY for trying to help you; I won't do it again. -
