    Can you try the latest build to see if that improves things?

  10. Chrissyboy means you need to try the newest version of SVCD2DVD.
    You are using 2.0.2146 the latest is 2.1.2308 released 28 Apr 2006. Get that one and see if your problem is resolved.

  12. Who said you would need to make a new purchase?

    Upgrades are included as part of the program. I find it ridiculous that you would post such an inflammatory (and wrong) comment without even checking first. Don't make assumptions before investigating the facts.

    Also, have you read this:

    Indeed - once again Jikchung says it as it is... If you want a refund then fine, but what is being suggested is to download the latest version...

    The newest verison was downloaded and it still did not work. Also, we did the cleaning and it did not work. At this point I do not know what else to do.

    You have to understand that to someone that does not really know what they are doing it is very fustrating . Also posting back and forth waiting for replies for help also gets a bit fustrating. All we want to do is to convert the movies so we can put them on a DVD to watch in any DVD player. Does anyone else have any suggestions or comments for us? You also have to understand that if you pay for something you would expect that it should work and if you it does not what is your first thought........................REFUND ..........................

    Again, if someone else has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

  15. I understand your frustration. Have you tried any other video conversion programs? I ask because if you are successful that way it can narrow down some of the options.
    I also wonder if it might be memory issue - there are several programs to test memory, here is one you might try:

    Is it just the "Fragile" file which is causing this problem or all files?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

  19. Off the top of my head:

    SUPER (freeware)

    TMPGEnc Plus (trialware)

    There are many others listed under "Tools" on the left.

    I still advise that you run a memory test, especially if you have problems with these converters. You might also want to try this: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Motherboard-Monitor.shtml to monitor processor temps just to be sure that's not what we're dealing with.
