I've searched all over the net without any luck. Is there anyone who knows how I may be able to convert an SAT file (as far as I'm aware, its an encryption by the Toshiba Gigabeat MP3 player that allows one to play music on the device) to either, MP3 or WMA or even wav, ogg. Anything really! If you transfer music from your hard drive into the Toshiba Gigabeat MP3 player, it automatically encrypts the files into an "SAT" file and you are unable to transfer it back to your hard drive and listen to it, or burn it to a CD etc...

So if anyone has any solutions to this problem, please let me know what it is, cuz I'm stumped!

    Thank you.

You could try renaming the .sat extension to the original format. I've no idea if that will work, but give it a try.

Yeah, I did try that. But it's an encryption so it's not something that I ever thought it would work. I am hoping there is some kind of software that would convert it, but there doesn't seem to be anything out there.
