I can't get it to work. I am using the same stats for both CBR and VBR, but whenever I press encode on VBR, tmp does not encode anything and the source position is stuck a 0 but the time remaining keeps on increasing.
Does anybody else have this error of not encoding under VBR?
I don't have any other encoders as they are all trial if anybody has a full version i can "purchase" contact me

Are you using 2 pass variable bitrate? If so then you won't see any progress until the 51% mark. The first pass is the first 50% and you will see no picture or progress along the source, one the second pass starts you will see your video in the preview frame, and the source position will move along.
